We have a core team of eight people.
Combined, we have more than 90 years’ experience as either journalists or specialists in media relations.
In addition, we draw from a talent pool of carefully selected, highly experienced consultants, digital specialists, event managers, writers, strategic planners, copywriters and art directors depending on the nature of our clients’ businesses.
We tailor-make our teams to fit our clients’ needs and budgets.
Andrea Kerekes
Managing Partner
Andrea has 20 years’ experience in public relations, journalism and copywriting.
She has spent the last 12 years working in public relations, specialising in publicity and media relations, reputation management, issues management and internal communications.
She began her career as a marketing journalist and has written extensively for every major national women’s or lifestyle magazine publisher either full time or as a freelancer.
Andrea has also created and implemented a range of consumer promotions and has a wide network of media contacts.
Rochelle Burbury
Managing Partner
Rochelle has a 20-year career as a newspaper and magazine journalist.
Before moving into public relations, she was marketing and media editor at The Australian Financial Review, where she spent seven years writing for the newspaper as well as the AFR Magazine and AFR BOSS Magazine.
She began her career with advertising trade journal B&T (where she and Andrea met and began their 20-year friendship), starting as a reporter and becoming editor.
Rochelle then moved to TIME Magazine as marketing manager where she worked on the test launch of Sports Illustrated Australia.
She returned to journalism at The Sydney Morning Herald as marketing editor, then The Australian in a similar role.
Simon Lloyd
Senior Consultant
Simon's career began in London 25 years ago as a copywriter at an advertising agency.
He then returned home to Australia and joined The Australian Financial Review as banking writer, banking & finance editor, marketing & media editor and editor of gossip column Rear Window. Simon also worked as new business director of Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising and then formed his own PR consultancy, Lloyd & Gray Media Relations, with clients including Advance Bank, Lend Lease and Coles Myer. In 1999, he returned to journalism at Business Review Weekly as marketing editor and then innovations editor.
Margaret Fearn
Senior Consultant
Margaret Fearn has 17 years’ experience in senior level corporate issues and media management roles and journalism.
She was previously head of corporate communications at Network Ten Pty Limited where she spent seven years, establishing its corporate affairs department from scratch.
She began her career in London as a project management consultant before moving to Hong Kong in 1990 where she was the evening financial news editor and anchor at Metro News (radio) and later spent two years at STAR TV (a News Corporation Company) as head of corporate communications.
She moved to Australia in 1996 as the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs at News Limited.
Simon Corah
Chairman
Former M&C Saatchi co-founder and national CEO, Simon Corah joined Access Public Relations as non-executive chairman in July.
After a 24 year career in advertising, Simon decided to focus his management and strategic planning skills on the critical area of business growth.
His company, Growth Mantra, combines the best of agency creativity and innovation with the strategic disciplines of management consultants.
