SBS ratings release for week 6, 2010


Man vs Wild and Mythbusters led the SBS metro ratings last week, attracting 444,000 and 442,000 viewers respectively, according to figures from OzTAM. Both programs performed well in the regional ratings also with 239,000 and 204,000 viewers respectively.

Tuesday’s documentary Why are thin people not fat? proved the most popular among SBS regional audiences at 251,000 viewers and with an additional 402,000 metro viewers.

New program James May’s Big Ideas debuted with 295,000 metro viewers and 145,000 regional. James May, the self-acknowledged geek and motoring aficionado, travels the world to investigate and test a number of weird and wacky innovations.

After only five episodes, Gourmet Farmer has already achieved its strongest audience to date with 337,000 viewers in metro areas and 175,000 in regional.
