BCC AdSystems launches new version of BCC media desktop in response to introduction of time shift viewing

BCC AdSystems has completed the rollout of its latest version of BCC media desktop software, which facilitates the transition to time shifted ratings viewing data for metropolitan, national and regional television viewing.

BCC AdSystems Media MD Rob Landsberry said: “The introduction of time shifted viewing TV ratings data by OzTAM and AGB Nielsen has fundamentally changed the way the media industry reports on television ratings data.

“With the official ratings just starting for 2010, version 9.2.5 of BCC media desktop software incorporates the modifications required for reporting on this new data set. Currently, all our Australian clients have upgraded to this version.

“The changes required to accommodate TSV have been significant with over 1,000 hours invested by BCC’s development team. However, as well as introducing the TSV changes in 9.2.5, we were able to meet other prior commitments made to agencies for this release, such as regional CPM cube and significant enhancements in the holdings, reporting and media finance areas.”

Both overnight and consolidated quarter-hour ratings data are available weekly in all versions of BCC media desktop. Agencies can choose whether their default setting will be overnight or consolidated data, and have full interface functionality with elemental data engines for reach and frequency and minute by minute post analysis.
