Our background

Access PR launched in Sydney on January 2, 2008 with almost 30 clients and six staff.

The consultancy was founded by Rochelle Burbury and Andrea Kerekes. The pair previously launched Open Dialogue PR, a start-up PR consultancy majority-owned by global advertising agency M&C Saatchi, in October 2005.

By the end of 2007, that agency had grown from zero to 27 clients and had completed projects for major brands including British Airways, Optus, Qantas and IAG (NRMA Insurance).

It won the inaugural B&T PR Agency of the Year award in 2007 and was a finalist in the AdNews PR Agency of the Year 2007.

We were also a finalist in the 2008 and 2009 AdNews PR Agency of the Year awards, the 2009 B&T PR Agency of the Year awards and the 2008 B&T Emerging Agency of the Year awards.

Rochelle and Andrea resigned late 2007 and launched their new, independent consultancy, Access Public Relations. We are proud to say that all our clients and staff joined  the new venture.

Since then, Access PR has grown. Fast.

We have a range of clients who operate in many industry sectors including Freeview, SBS, Steggles (Baiada Poultry Pty Ltd), News Ltd, The Newspaper WorksIpsos, Prime Media Group, Crossmark and BCC AdSystems.

We have a core staff of eight and a hand-picked team of experts on call when required.

Access PR is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s Registered Consultants Group.
